Believe it or not, I am very picky when it comes to the things I decide to review here on Holdin' Holden- so when Tiffany from the online boutique "MoBu Trunk" contacted me asking if I'd be interested in reviewing her boutique and giving an item away- I wasn't sure what to do. I've never really shopped at a "boutique" before, online or off. And as far as fashion goes- I just wear what I like and what I think looks good. Of course I've always wanted to be a little more fashionable- maybe less jeans and tees- but with two little boys who act like rabid animals when I force them to shop in women's clothing for more than 10 minutes, it just didn't seem like a possibility.
Once I skipped over to the Facebook page and started clicking through the pictures- it was obvious this was a perfect company to share with you. Pretty much everything is absolutely adorable and flattering and MoBu Trunk is ran by two fellow Moms. Of course! Best of all- it's all AFFORDABLE! I, for one, look at cuteness first and price second. If it's out of my range I won't even try it on. The prices on MoBu Trunk would definitely convince me to try everything on. And the kids would hate me. I guess it's good that their business is online.
My problem came with choosing. How would I ever choose? I'm bad at making decisions especially when it comes to things that are in style- so I left the choice in Tiffany's hands. She chose for me a comfortable black dress- with some super cute accessories. I was pretty apprehensive, I'm not a dress girl- but it's better late than never to embrace the female in me, right? Plus, she sounded so confident that it would look good that it in turn made me feel confident too.
When I got it, I instantly loved it. Everything was packaged up SO nicely, and the dress is this lightweight yet not lightweight enough to blow up and show everyone your rear kind of material. I can't wait to wear it with some flip flops if the weather EVER gets warm- but since it was snowing outside when I wanted to wear it, I had to improvise- so I paired it with some tights and a sweater.
I know the dress is a little hard to see- but what can you expect from a husband who is the worst picture taker in the entire world? All I know is it will be getting a LOT of use this summer. If summer ever comes.
Ashley also sent along a few SUPER cute zig-zag patterned hairties which unfortunately are not pictured, but I love so much I wear one every day.
You all really have to check out MoBu Trunk for yourself- they are ALWAYS getting new stuff in that I find myself salivating over. If you don't find at LEAST one thing you fall in love with... well, I might just poop my pants a little. Not my tights, I took those off. Control top and I don't get along.
